Just a reliable pick for a lightning trip in Puerto Morelos with good value. The taxi ride to town was quick and affordable despite the flooded roads. Make sure to check transport options before heading out.

The unique hanging beds were a highlight, providing a surprisingly comfortable experience, and the common area was perfect for mingling with fellow travelers. Breakfast was simple yet enjoyable, with options to personalize it using the kitchen facilities. However, the location is a bit removed from town, requiring a leisurely 20-minute walk, which might not suit everyone. While there were various local creatures adding to the charm, some areas felt less maintained than expected.

I had a lovely stay at Rancho Sakol, enjoying comfortable accommodations and a unique hanging bed. The ambiance was peaceful, and the breakfast was good. I found the access road a bit rough for biking. Neither this nor the limited kitchen hours could dampen my experience.

missingWrote a review on 19 Mayroad conditions
The access road to this hotel needs some major repairs. navigating it can be tricky, especially with bikes. The lack of proper lighting on rental bikes is a hassle, needing to lift them down onto the beach for safety. The beach is decent for lounging but has its share of rocks, making swimming a bit of a challenge. Not to mention the uncomfortable rope hammocks that are too tight and the outdated furnishings like flimsy tables that don’t hold anything stably.

Charming Stay with Unique Activities
We enjoyed two peaceful nights in a spacious triple room. Despite the sargassum situation, we made the most of our stay by biking into town and playing cards in the evenings. Don’t miss the local eateries for a taste of authentic flavors! Perfect for a short getaway.
